#FreshFromTheGrill: HHP to receive a Life Time Achievement from the SAMA
The SAMAs 25 are soon going to appear on your television screens where artists will be awarded for their opus. The biggest news to break is the late legend Hip Hop Pantsula will be honoured a Life Time Achievement Award for the impact he has inscribed in the Hip Hop culture and how popular he has made it amongst the citizens of the nation. He is shed the spotlight on Motswako and played a crucial role in pioneering it and more than anything made his language Setswana fashionable. His discography is very impressive; it boasts a lot of timeless singles from Jabba, Let Me Be, Love of my Lewe, Tshwara, Music and Lights, Jive, Let the Beat Go as well as Bosso Ke Mang. The one and only time he won a SAMA was back in 2008 for Best Male Artist category for the Acceptance Speech album which is his six studio offering. Fast forward to this year, he will be honoured amongst other icons such as TKZee and Mango Groove.
So here are some of the classics that Jabba made you dance and fall in love to so you understand that it is by merit he is receiving such a prominent accolade.
25 years of music, 25 years of anthems, 25 years of rhythm! We #RECOGNISE those who have contributed to the music industry and we thank you! 🙏 Big ups to HHP, @tkzeeband & Mango Groove for walking away with the #SAMA25 Lifetime Achievement Award!🥇 https://t.co/cVxzn5Q4Wa pic.twitter.com/gRkkKEepsJ— The SA Music Awards (@TheSAMAs) May 22, 2019
